The Bead Cascade Necklaces series.
This is a series of necklaces made from multiple strands of semi-precious beads. With each necklace, a particular colour theme is chosen and the strands are selected for their inherent qualities of shape, size, colour and translucency. The combined qualities form a tapestry of rich colour and textural interest.
The development
Whilst developing the Bead Cascade Necklaces two distinct designs materialised; the first is with multiple strands of beads cascading from a clasp at the back of the neck, while the second cascades from two purpose made fittings either side of the neck.

Whilst developing the Bead Cascade Necklaces two distinct designs evolved. In this example multiple strands of beads, with a blue-green theme, cascade from a clasp at the back of the neck.
Bead Cascade Necklace with a green theme
In this example multiple bead strands cascade from specially designed side fittings in gold, whilst a distinctive Alan clasp at the back of the neck provides the fastening.
White pearl Cascade Necklaces
These are two examples from the multiple pearl strand necklace series. It represents a break with the traditional three strand pearl necklace, featuring pearls of identical size form and colour.

These are two of the latest examples from the multiple pearl strand necklace series. One with pink fresh water pearls and the other with shades of grey fresh water pearls.
